Notice Period Doglapan

Some well known companies reject potential candidates because notice period at their current organisation is >1 month, but they themselves have 2-3 months of notice period ⚔️

In my opinion, how a company treats an employee after they've resigned relatively tells more about the culture than onboarding/interviewing 🥴

+1 I’m also recently realizing some companies have 3-6 months notice period. Which is clearly too much

6 months O.o

Which companies are these? How can a company with good culture can justify 6 months notice period! Definitely a red flag, in my opinion.

Which company has more than 3 months notice period!!!😳

It kind of makes sense if the company has a very high outflux of employees like maybe WITCH has. They need to pitch to clients too like "hey, our employees would have a fixed 3 month NP so transitions would be smoother".

I hate it though, for me as an employee it sucks to have a NP ( 1 month is ok, 2 week is great imo).

It's a tricky process to get out of weak and harassing startups. Talk to the people who have just exited, they will tell you the tricks

Getting out is not an issue. Eventually it'll happen. Just an observation I've seen in multiple "well-funded" startups.

90 days notice period

90 days notice period is such a turn down. Most of the companies reject a legit candidate seeing that previous organisation has long notice period. What should be the best approach to handle this situation?
