Offer deferred, don't know what to do
My offer (from a FAANG company) has been deferred to January 2024. I don't know what to do now:
-
I have another job offer (~8 LPA), but that job requires me to serve notice period of 2-3 months
-
A startup's founder rejected me, saying he wanted someone for long term (he thought I'll leave next January)
Should I try for full time jobs? Many companies become unwilling to take me in, presuming that I will leave in January 2024.
Or should I look for internships (even though I have graduated)? Getting an internship won't help mitigate the risk of not having a fulltime job offer after graduation though.
Just don't disclose your fang offer you'll be fine bruh
Will there be no legal consequences of lying?
None if it wasn’t asked why share
Bro this is a tough decision because you never know if amazon will take you after Jan or revokes the offer. But internship experience is never taken as experience in corporate world God knows why
An internship experience is not taken as experience in the corporate world, yes, but what if I work like a full timer during the internship, and lie that it was a full-time job? Lmao
You cannot lie because they'll ask for your pay slips during background verification 😢. So I've also done 1 whole year of internship in my final year and lie when applying for roles that I have 1+fte experience but during the interviews I'm fully transparent.
Join any company as an FTE.
Dont tell anything about amzn offer. When joining date and joining letter comes, resign and tell them i just now got the offer offcampus.
ez ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But what if they ask? They may be surprised to see a fresh grad out of college unemployed. Should I lie then?
Lie as you breathe

Why are you even telling the company about your existing offer from Amazon!!🤷♂️ Of course no company will take you if you tell about Amazon.
