Is it beneficial to do Online MBA or PGPWP from IIM’s, considering that the fees is ~20LPA and the classes are conducted online or on weekends. I am currently working in a big 4 with 5years of experience in tech consulting and earning ~ 30LPA, leaving current job will be a difficult decision, therefore I have been considering such courses. My current employer might not be able to give me any promotion on this basis but will it help in long run and help in switching to MBB’s ? Also, does the degree of these courses specify online or anything which sets it apart from regular course degree?
I recently gave the exam and interview for IIMA Online MBA. In my sector MBA and IIMA tag is huge so it made sense and the fact that its online and my job is hybrid helps.
May not be the same for you. At my age (30) I knew I was never gonna do a full time MBA and I don't want to delay further in my late 30s.
Please avoid doing online mba, no matter how prestigious the institute is. I went for mba from IIMA few years ago after quitting my job. There is a difference of day and night between mba on campus vs online mba. The real test of your mba degree starts after you graduate. Online falls short here.
