People who switched from technical to business side by doing MBA or otherwise why did you do it?

B.Tech + MBA is a deadly combination in India. Sometimes I see people doing MBA just after graduating from college. Why do they do this? Is it because you want to earn more money and realised business is what matters at the end of the day? Or found business more interesting? Or something else.? Please share some reasons.

Answer is in your question.

Most people do for high package aka CTC.

Many do for non tech role transition or mix of tech + biz

Few do for transition into their forte which may be consulting, finance, ops or mix of few.

Many also do for networking, leveraging alum network or boosting matrimonial prospects.

Choose yours wisely!

No no... go through my answer again.

It depends on individual.

Few people have better intrapersonal skills, communication skills, leadership, negotiation skills and what not...In most of technical roles u sit infront of screen for 6-8h and earn money. But after a time it feels monotonous and lacks purpose.

That's when people decide to jump the boat and find what they can do for next 2 or 3 decades... So mba.

It's kind of a validation which will help u in long run to jump more boats with less risk ⛵
