Been taking up product and branding projects with early stage bootstrapped startups. I only take projects which are interesting and different from what I am doing at work.
I keep the budgets on the low-medium range since my focus is on getting interesting and challenging projects.
Get these projects from previous clients, friends and old colleagues.
Finding time is the most difficult part. I try to put in a couple of hours after dinner and 8 hours on the weekend. But since the work is interesting it doesn’t feel like work 😊. Also I only take up 2-3 such projects(4-6 week long) in a year.
What kind of side projects can backend engineers include in resume/ work on like during weekends? I don't wanna know machine learning model and layer of API over it. Thats something I already worked in college.
