You can mention it in your work experience, but then again your actual work experience would be considered from April 2021 since that would be relevant. As far as hiring managers as concerned, they wouldn’t think too much about it.

In the screening call, you can say that your joining date was delayed due to COVID, so you had started this venture to make ends meet. You can probably also add on a thing or two about how you were also practising your coding by trying to develop a platform to track the output generated by your team. This shows initiative, so would be in your favour.
