Poem 4 | Dàd's Li'l Añgel ✨
Can you make me sinless? Will you then, hold me? Please?" As I watch her grow, I wonder if I’ve failed. While everyone else matured, I remained lost, No one paused to guide me along.
I see her struggling, feeling flawed and impure, Hiding her true self from me, Wanting to be the father she needs, To be her protector, her unwavering support.
My heart aches to shelter her, To cradle her as the world pushes her to grow up too fast. Let her stay my little girl, untouched and innocent, Innocent of the burdens I’ve placed upon her.
Is it my expectations that weigh her down? Can I offer her the freedom she deserves, Without holding too tightly, So she knows she is cherished and loved?
