Do D2C/eCommerce firms have Product Managers, whose job would be to research and come up with new products? or Generally, who comes up with new product ideas in D2C firms?
From my personal experience in multiple capacities across D2C companies, the best product ideas come from Business leaders who take charge and are enabled with enough authority to align Product teams. However, a pre-requisite for this will be operational autonomy and full category responsibility for the Business/Sales Leader.
