Rant on Indian HRs

I want to vent out on Indians HRs and the policy makers. Anyone would like to add to this?

Why are HRs adamant on dragging the whole company down. Everything could be so great and perfect but then comes the HR 🤦🏼‍♂️. They have enough excuses to be stupid and everyone follows because some day they woke up and changed the policies as per their wish. I hate them all !

I think in mid size companies which are growing and has potential to be big, HR plays a crucial role in setting up system if done right to shape the culture, imo they are important.

Valid point but why are all the HRs not doing so? I haven't had any HR jo sahi se kaam karta ho
This department is probably the worst in any organisation.

They are simply not useful and create more issues than resolve them.

I agree, finding a good HR who really understands their role is tough. But if a company hires a capable HR, things move in better direction, experiencing it first hand in our company tbh.

Promoted for loyalty, not skill. How common is this?

So, I’ve been at this IT company in Bangalore for 4 years. I’m not some rockstar dev, but I’ve consistently delivered projects, mentored juniors, and even got client shoutouts. Last month, though, our team lead position opened up. Everyo...
