Definitely not mine. Anytime you hear my org’s name- RUN in the opposite direction

Why man, mind telling more about it?

Every team other than MyJio is miles away from actual Product Management.
To give you some pointers-
-
PMs don’t have read-only access to the DB
-
There is no market research
-
PMs are not allowed to speak to customers
-
PRDs are created on Excel sheets
-
Email first company with blocker and approvals at every baby step
-
There is no product thinking. Decisions are taken based on gut ONLY
-
There is no 3rd party integrations to check app usage data
-
Macbook is considered a luxury and not given to everyone, even if you have a valid usecase for it
There is a whole lot more.

Google is actually good for Product work but the problem is with excessive meetings that derail most good ideas.

Same with Microsoft

Yaar milta hi nhi shortlist.
Kitna tweak Kiya, Kitna permu-combi Kiya CV me...Sala ekbar ek discovery call bhi nahi hua.
Koi bhi product MNC me infact 😪

We are a platform offering for banks and cobrands looking to offer some cool credit cards, milestones and cohort automation and hyper personalisation. So cool thatthe global market leader in the space is wooing us. It starts with asking why not in my mind and aspiring for significantly higher bar than what exists.
Not mine. They don’t know the difference between PM, PO and BA. Yahan pe sab BA hi hai…Strategy wale bhi aur Product wale bhi

Mine is not,
biased thinking from founders directors,
micromanagement in terms of feature development
Business not ready to plan a roadmap but rely on adhoc sprints heavily
Prioritising output over outcomes
Product leader is a name sake leader where they are extremely uneducated in terms of product management
Etc etc

Which BFSI company are you in?

I have learnt immensely at Flipkart. You can learn how you are supposed to think about the product. What skills to develop. They care alot about developing core product competencies…product thinking, problem discovery, problem solving , leadership etc.
There is a lot of leadership shit and politics but you learn well.
But I won’t recommend anyone to come here because they pay peanuts
