SDE at Goldman Sachs Tech stack ?

Can anyone please explain what is the tech stack mainly used at Goldman Sachs. From what i have heard SDEs there are mainly involved in building internal tools for parsing large trade data using bash and scripting languages.

Thanks in advance.

Depends on which team. Java is pretty common here. Python is pretty common too. C++ is usually limited to the databases team, or the trading platforms. While you write in these languages, the product you work on will most likely be internal only. The Engineering division is better in terms of using open source / public technologies - be it databases, or caches, or messaging middleware. The trading teams don’t keep up to date as easily and there’s tons of internal tooling, but again built on public languages.
