I'm into growth, 10 years of experience. Currently I'm at 43 fixed + esops. Don't have an MBA but I can see myself getting 55-60 fixed if I switch now. To compensate for the lack of a MBA, I have over the years learnt to code, design and write copy (equivalent to the skills one would have with 2 yoe in each of these domains). So I tend to be a good fit at 0 -> 1 companies looking for someone in marketing who can do everything as an IC/lean team.
At this stage, an MBA doesn't make sense for me from an ROI perspective. However, I feel there's a glass ceiling if I don't have one and might hurt my prospects if I am looking to move into more established startups/orgs at this payscale. Might end up getting a degree from a good MBA college (LBS/INSEAD) in a few years for this reason + easy migration.
