Recently I had got a call from a recruitment firm regarding an opening in EXL, where they stated without sharing the pancard details they can't start the interview process. They would share a consent form for the same. I declined from sharing the pan card details. They said the process has changed and they require to check the employment details of the candidate.
Another company has also mentioned they would require the pancard and aadhar details after the second round.
Has anyone also faced something like this.
Is it even legal to ask for these at such an early stage of the process.
