What's your plan? Do you want to reside in a 1bhk? Or shared room? Or PG?
What does your lifestyle looks like?
Will you be paid the same 12LPA during internship?
The decision depends on all these answers
during the intern 6 lpa, i have found a single room for 15k, so i think i can manage the expence. lifestyle is normal nothing fancy
If you can manage your rent, then you can manage everything else. 12lpa is not bad for mumbai tbh.
Company will be providing 2 weeks stay, can look for sharing apartment for a while tbh, 10k 20k at Max will do the work
First of all its Mumbai. People are saying local goons for people who ask to speak in Marathi. I am wondering if they ever visited any south state, and seen the reality.
Anyway, in my opinion Maharashtra and Mumbai has lacs of times better people and atmosphere than so called other states. Even marathi isn't forced the way it's being described in comments. If you look carefully all the incidents shown in media , the person is arguing in rude language, or trying to downgrade the Marathi. And getting well deserved treatment. There are lacs of other people living in Mumbai who doesn't know marathi but they are and were never beaten by anyone because even if they don't know Marathi they didn't argue about it. They try their way to speak in Marathi. The more you show attitude high chances of you getting beaten . It's as simple as that.
The post was about shifting
Also, better move to some other city as with 12LPA it will be very hard to sustain in Mumbai.
Vo option toh nahi h dada
New Mumbai is cheaper than Bengaluru..
