SIDE HUSTLE FOR A FINANCE GUY

Dear Grapevine Community, I need your suggestion / help / opinion.

I am a Finance MBA grad having over 6 years of core banking experience in SME Working Capital Funding. I am also a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM). I am skilled at loan underwriting, credit appraisal, financial & ratio analysis along with credit assessment, business valuation, etc. I have been doing this for 6 years.

However, now since last 5months I have moved to a backend role in credit analytics dept. We design a product (for eg - Micro loans to women entrepreneurs) as per the policy guidelines, conduct UAT, resolve bugs, make the product go-live in all branches, and continuously analyze data for potential gaps and tap the same for it's scale up.

I am looking for part-time jobs / side hustle ideas where I can leverage my banking experience and FRM.

Please help ! Thank You.

As far as i know free lancing in finance is difficult because companies wouldn't like to provide their data or hand of operations to free lancers who will jump ship after some months. This is mainly due to a mountain of regulations and laws this sector needs to handle. But you can provide free lancing/consulting advices to startups/small firms.

As from I read, you are good in financial valuations, so you can use that skill to identify undervalued stocks and invest money in them, you can start from investing your own money or of parents/friends/family. Use your YOE as a legitimacy tag because trust is all that matters in finance.
