Silent Layoff at Meta
15% are being given Below Expectations rating and are being offered mutual seperation with 3 Months salary.
The mid year ratings are supposed to just give a direction but this year's layoff is happening on its basis.
I heard they happened in Cisco this week as well (not silent, actual layoffs) And now this from Meta
Are we in the middle of something again?
My two cents is when have we not been in the middle of something since the mid 2022 its been 2 years now and things still look the same as they did 2 years ago.

Most of their own llms are the reason for large scale layoffs. Most of it will be pure adoption and cost savings using this new set of marketing, productivity, agentic apps
