State of remote jobs in 2024
I recently got an offer from a US based company offering remote work. That makes it two offers, the other being completely from the office.
I read online that remote jobs are not that great especially for freshers. What are your views on this?
And which one should I prefer? Remote job pays 40% less.

Offer 1, completely from the office:
- 10L base + 1L retention, with no other benefits. No paid leaves, not even for gazetted holidays. Strict 10 - 6, sometimes I have to work on Saturday too.
- Small start-up with a team of 5 developers, the product is already earning money, we are required to work on creating new features to get more clients
Offer 2, remote
- 7.5 base with other benefits like health etc., 52 paid leaves annually.
- 4 hours compulsory from 830 pm to 1230 am, the other 4 hours are flexible. 40 hours a week.

@igotyou Why does the remote job pay 40% less compared to the one going to the office? Are the work hours requirements different, where you have to work less in the remote job?
