Stoa vent
So recently stoa announced that they’re revamping their business. And for some reason everyone (other startup founders/ twitter folks) were supporting them and telling them not to get discouraged and to keep building and other shit.
I’ve interacted with a few stoa students and they have nothing good to say about stoa. Apparently they were promised placements which no one got.
Most of the people I know who did the stoa program, did it because they were sold the idea of getting a good consulting / founders office kinda job. The fees aren’t cheap for anyone coming from a middle class background.
What pisses me off is why are we as a society encouraging such founders - like they sold something without being able to deliver which had a direct impact on the life of students.
In my personal humble opinion these people need to be called out.
