Stock ideas to invest?
Have a couple of lakhs to invest lump sump in some stock. What are your picks and rationale behind that?
PS: Have some MFs as well but don't want to go there right now. Need some good stock ideas for long term (hence no large caps). I prefer those who have decent business prospects but even more important is the price they're available at.
Don't invest all your money in a single stock. Check fundamentally strong companies and take positions gradually. I anticipate large banks, health care, pharma, real estate, and consumer durables would do well in the bull run. Choose strong businesses from these industries.
Currently IMO,
NIFTY – fair to overvalued, Small-mid - feels overvalued, Bitcoins– undervalued, Nasdaq– still fine, expect good returns when the interest rate cut happens.
Elections and interest rate cuts are two things that should give you a good runup.
