Surviving unrealistic expectations

Our team has hired a new PM who is a huge micro manager. We don't really have a sprint planning so all the tasks are decided based on availability. Tasks that do come from him are of unrealistic deadline and most of them need to be done by EOD even if the task comes in at 7pm. Dude just mentally skips the time needed for testing and other processes. Also constant pings regarding the status updates is really frustrating. This is one of those bad PM/Managers meme cone true. I would have quit if I was not in a bond until next year July. Need some tips on how to survive this asswipe for the next 9-10 months without being under constant stress and going into severe depression.

Dont do anything, let the performance go down to hell and wait for them to let you go! In that case, you wont have to pay bond money

This seems to be the way. I just don't know if I can endure the yelling and taunting for 9 months.

It will develop a thick skin, sooner or later, you will experience a bad boss in your career. This too shall pass.

You should have quitted when company ask for bond, itself is red flag.

Regarding PM, most of the managers are like that only.

In an ideal world I would. Sadly I'm too deep in debts to have considered otherwise.

I have been to 5 companies and many of my friends in the diff companies, i dont think except for Gujarat or any pathetic companies this exist.

Companies have realised that they cant do that legally. You can break the bond and drag companies to court and you will win

Stop caring. Do things of your own accord.

These suckers will exploit people who care the most.
