Such a sad day for all of Swiggy folks out there. 💔 Swiggy’s private feed is full of layoff messages. More power to you guys, Swiggy doesn’t deserve you. You will do better wherever you go. ❤️ Please reach out to me in DM’s if you need any sort of help or referrals. Will try my best to help in any ways I can.

Some of them worked their ass off for NYE and now this is how they have rewarded them. Everything looks like a script from last year. Same fu*king 5-10 min speech for the layoff announcement. Same severance, same method used for the layoff. Now the same consolation phase will start for the existing employees by the leadership. I hope I am wrong, but with the current ways of working, Swiggy is doomed to fail!

As per current revenue and numbers, swiggy is a decacorn...

Zomato is at 1.2 lac crore.

Swiggy will easily cross 10B and even go to $ 15B if Fed and Geopolitics is favourable by the ipo time.

So, what I mean to say is...fear from karma.

Swiggy is flag bearer of Indian startup ecosystem, give paycuts and more esops but retain the people who burnt midnight oil to make sure my biryani reaches at time with proper hygiene 🪥

Mix of both I’d say. Work hard to get the money that some of these companies pay because the bulk recruiters or most others don’t pay so much in tech roles for sure (comparing people with the same years of experience here).

Big tech has done same… Long tenured folks laid off without a F2F. Still ppl won’t learn employers know, hope they are proven wrong. Anyway, I am sure folks from there would go to better places. So take a break & restart
