TCS- From 75% to 0%, that was pretty fast!
This is absolutely meme material!! They declared that 75% of employees will work from home by 2025, and before even 2025, they reverted that and now claiming everyone to come to office all 5 days!! I mean not even Hybrid, but all 5 days!! News mentioning recent report of asking employees to come all 5 days-
Can't fault Milind Lakkad. He has a new boss.
New boss, new tune.
But kam se kam 2025 tak to ruk jaate!😄
2025 tak ruk jaata to Lakkad ji ko permanent "from home" rehna padta.
Maalik jo bolega wohi sach.
Don't they have like a billion employees?
Imagine the sudden increase in public traffic and the pressure on job openings because 1000s of tcs employees realise that wfo and relocation is too much for there 4lpa job.
…and people say Tatas never do bad things ;)
Definitely, it’s a complete discretion of company to decide the working model but making it all-5 days isn’t required in IT services for sure. Remember, many of these folks need to align with western clients late in the evening.
True. Best is, a flexible working model should be adopted. Either have 2-3 days of office, or give regular periodical chunk of work from home periods. Both extremes are wrong and impractical in my view.
The reason for doing this is Attrition. People are making switch or freelancing using their free time, by implementing WFO their aim is to make employees busy. How do I know? I worked till last quarter.
Working in TCS, didn't recieve any such communication YET on internal platform or from my reporting management. Even as of now, they are struggling to call people 3 days a week here in Noida.
Thanks for updating here. The news says that some managers have started asking team mates to come all 5 days, not sure if it is happening only in some teams, or is it not happening at all but just a fake news.
Doesn't seem like fake news. But yeah maybe some teams are getting the calls, not mine though. Even if they enforce 5 days WFO, I am pretty sure it will take them 2-3 months to force everyone to comply with it. Initially, everyone will ignore it.
To me HR heads of this company seems to someone who is living far from reality. Few months back Infosys or Wipro's HR head said they "we will be hiring new people but won't offer 30% hike. Will offer a number very less then that" and that's too in public.
Not really. Lakhs of Engineers are unemployed and they know that. People will rush to work at as low salary as they want. They are service based companies, they hire in bulk.
Here I'm talking about job switching. Not fresher hiring.
