Trump talked about -
• Building stuff locally and how high tax rates have driven manufacturing outside
• How china is building an insane number of EVs and that they are bringing them in through Mexico to kill the local players, which is true
• Talked about how his tax cuts on businesses increased the US debt because COVID fucked up the plans
• SpaceX doing great and being supportive of privatisation
• Starlink and how it's effective in rural areas and cheap and cost effective compared to the cable grid and how we should move towards that
• How environmental regulations are out of control and are just making bureaucrats rich and wasting Billions in resources.
• That he is open to nuclear as an energy source and even pointed out that France is doing great with SMRs (small modular reactors)
• Talked that wind energy is unreliable, expensive, hurt the local biodiversity and ugly looking
And that's just half of the episode.
With Trump you need to ignore his narcissistic rambling about real-estate and self promotion and focus on what context he is referring to.
He doesn't remember shit about details because he is an old goat but he does understand what seems right or wrong from a business view.
And if you ignore his old racist grandpa way of talking in circles, nothing he said about tech and business was crazy.
