Salty question 😂
@AstroBubbles I’m so sorry 😂
But what’s your take on this?
Firstly, it is becoming HR of jokes because pm has to make the engg do the work without them reporting to the pm. This so called "influence people" is making it the butt of jokes. Mostly influencing is seen as a bad thing. And some people do exploit it. Just like HRs.
Secondly, lack of respect. Respect is earned via work or authority. Widely teams think that pms don't have to do the "actual " work, hence no respect. And since they don't have any authority, no respect.

actual PM work is solving for delivering customer value and driving a business outcome. doing the above, a day in life can be really varied.

Two things I mention to all my undertrainee

Time for AI. 🤞🏻
