Tips/Questions regarding house hunting in Bangalore
Will be moving to Bangalore in a couple of weeks so looking forward to rent a flat asap. The office is in Mahadevapura(Bagmane Tech park)
- What are some good localities nearby where I could find apartments in a gated society?
- What is the best means to find a flat? (NoBroker, MagicBricks or brokers or a literal house hunt on foot)
- Do the brokers charge brokerage every year for renewal of rental agreement?(as is the case in Pune) Anything else to keep in mind?

- CV Raman Nagar, Indiranagar etc. Depends upon your budget and travelling comfortabilty.
- Identify an area, go in person in a scooty and speak to owners directly whenever you see to-let sign. Stay away from brokers. Been living in Bangalore since 2016 and stayed in 4-5 houses, did the same thing for every house hunting. Staying in 2bhk in Koramangala with 15k rent. You can guess now.
- No. One time fee. But avoid brokers at any cost.
Learn Kannada, will be helpful especially dealing with local sabjiwalas and police. Welcome to Garden City!
