Is it worth to waste your 5 years with toxic environment because you don't have any other options available and hiring managers don't want to see your resume inspite of applying in companies?

I was suppose to join a new organisation in the start of the year but it went on a hiring freeze immediately after my notice ended with my then employer.
I ended up accepting the first offer that came my way....
How long should I keep working at toxic environment where I'm being scolded even when I'm doing best. It's affecting my productivity now.
