Transfer to US

Hey Guys, I am planning for a relocation to US within same company. It will take care of visa and stuff. Please note that I am not planning to "move" for forever but for next 4-5 years maximum and then come back to India.

Going abroad for first time.

Anything I should take care of and note down? And How can I save maximum money?

Open to suggestions.

From my personal experience: avoid moving to a city in the US that is extremely expensive. Such as New York or San Francisco. Instead you can live in a suburb nearby which is much cheaper.

Also get a car, drive around as that’s super important for the US.

Make sure you maximize your company 401K and Roth IRA and stuff.

Lastly don’t yolo your money on tech stocks and crypto (hard not to do that in the US) 😂

Thanks mate.

  1. Yes, planning for same.
  2. Car is out of budget, will prefer public transport or a two wheeler for starters.
  3. OK, will do some insight into this.
  4. Yes definitely, I am not into crypto and stuff. I am planning to focus on saving more.

Do all your medical checkup and take the reports to the USA Example
sugar , ecg , sonography, spine x ray , calcium, b12 , etc... all that you can do

If you fall sick in USA the doctors will need your last medical condition reports
