Unacademy layoffs have started

Major layoffs were in the engineering and product department. Seems like more than 50% of the entire engineering team is laid off. FML.

Gaurav Munjal is just another egomaniac with a false sense of self importance, buoyed by the likes of lousy MDs of a large venture fund. Just another dumb ass being used by these gang of VCs.

Gaurav thinks he is some messiah/genius. He is the exact opposite. Worked with him when he was starting off Flat.to, his first venture - the sheer amount of ego he had even then was surprising.

Worthless, uncouth idiot like those typical founders

There should be a award for every founder called the "moron of the year" award, on the basis of layoffs he/she should be awarded, in some kind of hall of fame website. Someone take the initiative and start making moron founder of the year. Website, with all the metrics. It could probably be a startup soon. That's the only solution for such layoffs and possible new startup.

Unacademy is going offline mode and in a heavy way.

I am thinking how does taking responsibility makes anyone feel better about this? Words, mere words! Layoffs are hard for some people, in some cases the entire family might be dependent on this one person working with unacademy. Funny how employees are reduced to mere puppets in the hands of these people..hire recklessly and then later on fire recklessly 🤣
