VC Analyst interview Partner round

What kind of questions I can expect in final round with Partner for an VC analyst role in early stage investment firm?

Why? I’ve been seeing a lot of people obsessing over VC roles these days.

Can you give more info?

Look man the problem with entry level VC roles is that you develop a notion of how a business should be run and essentially superficial knowledge of company building. So if you're unable to move up which is very hard due to the nature of the business you either end up back into a startup without hard skills. Or you switch to some kind of fund building/consulting framework which not everyone is poised to do. You basically end up virtue signalling on Twitter or anonymous apps with no real cash or skills. Founders don't respect you cuz they know you don't know much about their business yet either simp over them or pass judgement.

This is my honest and raw take as a funded founder with a profitable SaaS

Hi @Unhinged
The partner rounds typically flow similarly to the other rounds

However, they may hover slightly more around your personal motivations, your depth of understanding of startups and models, and a little bit about likability too.

The reasoning is that people before the partner would have already vetted your intelligence, reasoning, thinking. Getting to that stage means there should be a good feedback on that.

You need to ensure the Partner maintains that view, but along with liking you as a person, and being able to imagine you representing the fund as a good investor.

Slightly generic answer, feel free to ask more.
