Very very very confused about my job, my skills , everything!!!

Hi everyone, i have done my engineering and recently passed out of MBA college, and currently working as MT, and would eventually be posted in sales in next few months.

My organisation is decent and I have been posted at decent role in this company, when I compare it with other people who have been working for long here. My concern is right now i have no issue with this company, but eventually in next couple years when I get married mostly, I don't want to be part of this industry or role, as i want to spent more time with my family too, although i have no issue with my organisation. Now , when I look at my skills , I don't know what I am good at, even after doing engineering and mba both from tier 1-2 , colleges, I am still not sure what I am good at, and also don't want to be part of sales. Only thing which I know I am good at or excites me is related to equity Markets , as I keep researching, learning about it and share to other people i can too , but unfortunately my mba is general management and not finance major specifically, and have no certifications to back it up, so don't know how or even if I can get into such role. Here are my questions:

  1. Is there anyone else who are also like not sure what they are good at.,and
  2. How to find what job role would be good for me.
  3. I have an idea , like i want to be working in role which should be relevant in few years down the line also, if any of you have any suggestions, please tell me about some such job roles and if any certifications for them which may help.
  4. My industry is also very niche , like furniture industry, so don't know if getting experience in this will even help me down the line , if I decide to stay here

Shoot any suggestions, anything at all which can be helpful

Thank you everyone

It takes a long time in life to figure out what we like and also what we are good at. Sometimes, these two things can be different as well.

If you feel, you like equity markets, what specifically excites you about it? Do you want to make money by trading, is that it or there is more to it? Trust me, everyone wants to make money in equity market.

In India domain becomes very important. If you are into B2C in an Fmcg company, you will find it very hard to shift to software sales and vice versa.

You said you are in furniture space. You can expand from b2b to B2C within furniture. You can also move into org like Pepperfry etc. But changing the direction into completely new domain will be damn damn hard. Nothing is impossible, though. But will be damn hard.

Well firstly, about equity market I like everything, right from research to anything about it, and ya obviously to make money so that less burden on my job,

How long do I have like within which i should shift if I don't want to stay in the same industry
Maybe if I want to go to software sales or consulting

You may not be good at anything at all. You need to build some solid skills.
