Wait or Switch?

Started off as a BD guy in a startup who switched to the SDET role in 9 months in the same company and spent 3 yrs in total. This startup became a unicorn during my tenure and launched different countries as well. Famous for good reasons, doesn't lay off at all.

I went for a Tier 1 MBA, got campus placed and working with a tech consulting company which brands their POs as PMs. Amazing work life balance, completely remote but pays less (18+1.5).

Keep having a feeling that I'm paid less compared to the skills I carry because of the startup background. Been here for almost a year. Am I underpaid?

Should I wait for the appraisal cycle in June or start prepping and looking outside? Or am I overthinking and foregoing the great WLB and permanent WFH which this company provides?

For a tier 1 MBA and work ex, you’re paid a bit less. But given how the current market is, I would suggest you to wait, don’t be in a hurry to start a new role.

If you’ve good WLB and WFH then you won’t be able to find this in most of the unicorns.

Thanks. A bit less as in - should it be around 22-23L?

22-24l would be good, anything above that is excellent (disclaimer: in this market condition)
