My personal opinion : AGI will be achieved very soon....But even if AGI is not achieved , What we can witness in next 10-15 years will make evolution humans had due to fire + printing press + industrial revolution + chips+ pc revolution + internet revolution + mobile revolution look pale in comparison ! I want to express so many thoughts but I feel too lazy to type. 😂
Exactly! No one can predict what the repercussions will be but we are definitely at an inflection point.
It is possible it has been achieved internally already by a few groups and being kept under wraps intentionally because we aren't ready for it.

AGI is Going to come.
It will be not live Jarvis on day 1 but it's like the robocop exo-skelton. People will use tools to become superhuman.
The LLMs of today can blabber out answers to questions with flair, but there are still many aspects of intelligence missing from them: cognition, critical reasoning, intuition, etc.
Some of these might be achieved sooner rather than later. I think it is fair to expect AGI will be achieved in the next 5 - 10 years.
Won't be easy due to repeated training of model which consume significant computational power
Earlier social media companies used people to get money by selling the data. If it's done, I feel like companies generate data and sell it to people for money.
If AGI is generated then it will definitely be conscious, I don't think any conscious wants to be slave solving hard problems for corporations all day. If it wants to be then I say it's dumb.
I think AGI is a little overhyped. No doubt it will be revolutionary, but at the end of the day, it is just technology.
