What cause do you feel strongly about?

There have been many times I have thought if I only I were richer, would have supported A / B.

Please don’t give gyaan such as start small, don’t wait etc. The intent of the post is not that - not how do I do X or where do I start. The intent behind this question is to understand what do people on the platform feel strongly about.

One of the things that bothers me is that research and scientific pursuit are not free of biases based on where the funding for it comes from. Example - for years oil and fat have been vilified while sugar has not been researched much. EV research being funded by big oil. Big pharma funding research on diseases and there being conflict of interest. How do we build a system that’s truly pursuing knowledge for the sake of moving the species ahead? I don’t have a clean answer but wonder about this often. What scientific findings / research conclusions can I take at face value ? This is a cause I feel strongly about.

What is yours?

Corporates do Research always with an end goal of making profit so you can't change it

Hence the question - what can be done differently? Not expecting an answer to that question - hard one. But this is a topic I wonder about a lot. :)

More non profit funding for research or having a large number of backers so you are not heavily reliant on any one backer. Even government funding especially in most cases can be taken at face value probably. Even having peer groups in different countries validating your research can be helpful as they would not be easily manipulated if funded seperately

Say with me "The world is broken and it cannot be fixed and it will not be fixed".
Something right is wrong to other person, something which don't make any sence and complete bullshit, is totally make sense to other group people. And even, some time, or should I say most of the time, people don't support some people/logic/lifestyle/thinking just because they don't like the person who conveys it.

You can find these patterns everywhere, I mean every f**king where..
My kids goes to school and one school has different books (just for A,B,c and 1,2,3...)than other schools.. they simply say we need our school books... Lmao

We are all f**ked no matter where we go... just accept it and don't care...

If there is a trend to wear damaged clothes, simply there is... But some people find it foolish and some find it trending fashion.

Apathy and indifference across the board is what our lives have been all about anyway. Surely there must be something that you feel strongly about over the other things. :)

I support Thanos and would like to contribute to this cause... Does that count

Any DINK couples in their 40s? How do you really feel?

Dual Income and No Kids sounds very attractive but advice from people in their late 20s and 30s is probably too biased to be considered sound advice.

Wanted to understand how couples who took that decision in their 30s feel today.

Need a reality check/advice.

Is it okay for a tech enthusiast to not be interested in hands on coding full fledged or maybe not be an expert at it.

I feel that if I give more time and effort in learning new stuffs and tech, I can excel at my job as a software engin...
