  1. What was your profile before exit - MBA vs Bachelors, how many years at consulting, key reason for exit
  2. What industry/ role did you exit in - was it related to any case you did, how did you zero in into the role
  3. How is the overall compensation, what is the expected growth rate expected?
  4. Do you plan on coming back to consulting in future?

  1. Joined a FAANG equivalent US tech firm in india role
  2. Tech- much better than industry, and chiller than vc/pe
  3. Compensation trajectory was same/slightly better than MBB. Now at a startup where comp is accelerated by 3-4 years versus if I stayed in mbb

@AngryBus91 this is helpful, thanks a lot. I've heard industry comps saturating to what a principal/ associate Partner earns. The path to CXOs in most companies is much longer, making the comp trajectory slowdown after the first ~3 years post a 2-3 yr stint at MBB. Is this understanding correct?

Here I'm also including a strategy/ prod man role exit in a series B+ startup.
