Going to the gym. Very underrated life lack, I’m less depressed that I was a couple of years back, reversed at least 3 years of age and helped me deal with chronic back pain by strengthening the lower back muscle. Only wish I knew this a decade back.

Increased breaks while working, but used Pomodoro technique while working. I’m more productive and relaxed!
Before I used to work from 10AM to 8PM with maybe 1 hour of break for lunch. I used to do a lot of context switching and didn’t have a system to work on things.
Switched this up before 6 months. Now I start at 10, take a break between 2-4PM, work till 6 and then work from 11-12 to prepare my task list.
I have a list of things in my backlog. I pick up only one or two things in a day. At 10AM, I break down all tasks and by 10:30 work begins. I set a timer for 25 minutes and then take a 5 minute break. At the end of 25 minutes, I take a break no matter what.
After 2 hours (4-splits of 25+5 mins), I take a 15 minute break. Works wonders.
Have rejected ad hoc calls, responding to “hi’s” and “urgent” matters are done only on a case by case basis.
This has improved output, peace of mind and I’m able to cut off and focus on non-work things too!
