I’ve been thinking a lot about my career journey lately, and I’m curious about your experiences. What’s the longest you’ve stayed at a job, and was it a conscious choice or did you just go with the flow?
For me, the longest I’ve been at a job is six years. When I first started, I was really passionate about the work and the company culture. I felt like I was learning and growing every day, and I genuinely enjoyed going to work. But somewhere along the way, things changed. The excitement faded, and it started to feel more like a routine. Yet, I stayed. Looking back, I think it was a mix of comfort and fear of the unknown that kept me there.
I wonder how common this is. Did you stay at your longest job because you loved it, or did you stay because it was easier than looking for something new? Did you feel like you were growing, or were you just going with the flow?
I’d love to hear your stories.
