HR is is trying to lowball me into accepting an offer at my current compensation stating market conditions. I don’t have any other offers yet. What can be done here? 🥲

Wouldn't disclosing this information potentially lead the recruiter to offer a lower salary and make a less favorable initial offer?
@WeakSkate81 I think your question isn't clear. By HR, if you mean the recruiter, you ideally don't. On the other hand, if you mean your current HR and the half pay want communicated but probably am accident, then you communicate with your HR immediately.
Send them i am trying to look for other job opportunities even if you have contract. Then they will open their ears.
