Dude, physical segregation of the fleet will lead to discrimination - housing complexes might put a ban on the red drivers delivering non-veg food. Their life might be under threat. Separate delivery might make sense from a business POV because there's a demand but you can't negate the cultural significance of food preferences in a country like India.
Food preferences are personal and everyone is free to eat what they like/suites them, the problem is with the identifiers.
Read the excerpt from Deepinder Goyal's tweet today, they have decided not to implement the colored uniforms.
"This will ensure that our red uniform delivery partners are not incorrectly associated with non-veg food, and blocked by any WAs or societies during any special days... our riders' physical safety is of paramount importance to us.
We now realise that even some of our customers could get into trouble with their landlords, and that would not be a nice thing if that happened because of us."
