It depends on Astrologer. I am practising Astrology since since last 8 years and giving free consultations in my free time. I have so many good reviews across :) happy to have them. So, Astrology works if practiced without being biased to anything whatsoever.

Astrology works for all unconscious beings. I am myself an astrologer on astrosage. And this is after 7 years of working in high end corporates and startups.
“Unconscious” is when you have to anyway live a path your soul charted before you start this life. “Spirituality” is getting in touch with your soul, and you can then course correct few things.
About your question - reading or not reading astrology doesn’t make you great. It’s a self education mechanism, a person discovering himself without astrology is fine too.

Actually it works for everyone, the second guy hasn't met a good astrologer yet and also believes in science more than miracles. Tbh, good astrologers are quite less so yes any person can feel betrayed by an astrologer & then stop believing it.

Belief in astrology is really not the criterion for either decision. I would marry or hire either of them as long as they think they can and want to change their fate by their own hand.
Horoscopes are quite generic.. even if one resonates with 50% of what’s mentioned with their sign, they jump on to accept it as a means of hope that things are/will work out for them. People who are looking out for that hope might start believing in it over time and for those who realise that whatever mentioned in all the signs for any day/month/year is super generic through and thought don’t bother to believe in it at all.
