Why is everything being built in Gujrat?
From the past few months I'm seeing news of all the big projects of National interest being parked in Gujrat. Be it GIFT City, DREAM City, Chip Manufacturing facility by Tata, 2036 Olymics stadium, 2 new smart cities, center for AI excellence, Cholera Solar Park, Bullet Train stations, etc? I'm happy for all the work happening but it seems unfair that all great projects are happening in Gujrat.
If trade is a reason, there are other states as well in western coast like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala.
I'm not trying to make it political, but I feel it is. If it's not political please give your reasoning. I want to be wrong on this.

Maybe your lenses are coloured. I will list 3 different projects from corners of India -
- Jewar Intl airport - Delhi NCR
- Coastal roads - Mumbai
- FinTech City - Chennai
Many relatively smaller initiatives like reliance met city went to Haryana, MH signed 1.4 trillion$ MoUs in Davos.
States like GJ, MH, KA, TN have a friendly investment policies for many years now. Check which all states have their own pandals in Davos.
Tatas wanted to establish a manufacturing base in WB and we all know what happened there.

Gujaratis are serving Gujarat. The rest of the states especially owned by parties other than BJP are being treated very badly when it comes to releasing SGST, giving good projects and helping state governments in building infrastructures. They get the support of course because BJP cannot deny giving them what is needed but if you compare it with BJP based states, you can notice the discrimination with other states.

I also want to see it from the angle of corruption. Maybe Gujrat has less corruption?
We have states like Bihar where a 1000Cr bridge collapses because of rampant corruption.

Corruption is a widespread problem in india and saying Gujarat is less corrupt is incorrect. Many investment and money laundering frauds have roots in Gujarat. I think the least corrupt states are south indian states due to the higher literacy rate. Yet the majority of projects are still being captured by Gujarat and well, gujarati contractors. Even in other states, the contracts are being given to Gujarati businesses. Adani to be exact. Not only projects, the government even funded and supported Adani directly and indirectly during its hindenberg case and the IT cell of BJP can be often seen praising Adani. It is quite clear we are living in an oligarchy and it does not matter if Gujarat is getting all the profits. I think it is better than nothing. At least one part of india is getting better.
What matters more imo is mutual respect for each other. If we respect each other, let others come to our state and earn money, not only we are respecting them, but also helping their state gain money as they send money back to their state to their family and that state gets SGST for every paisa spent on expenses by the family. The economy grows from transactions and if we do more and more transactions, the economy will grow more and every state will progress together. What is bad is that this government is slowing down SGST payments of non NDA ruled states on purpose. Which even hinders the growth of the state from transactions done within the state.

This is nothing but a political gimmick. Anyone who follows active politics will know the clear disparity which the government does between Gujarat and other states. I know people gonna defend this as well but yeah with the current state we are in, no can literally do anything about it. The moment you say anything against the current regime, it will trigger people as if you are attacking their family.

Nope. There's a good reason this happens. Businesses aren't coming because they're lovey dovey with Modi Shah. They know the overall deal in Gujarat is worth it. Infrastructure, power, water and migrants is sorted. The eastern region of Gujarat bordering Maharashtra is pretty top notch when it comes to infrastructure. You've got 6 lane highways starting from Ahmedabad. The roads are in near perfect condition all year long. Businesses want that.
Gujarat is politically stable unlike Bengal or Jharkhand UP Bihar, isn't hostile towards immigrants compared to Maharashtra (old days tbh), South India, thousands of people migrate here every year to work and do pretty good for themselves.
I live in an industrial area and many people pull themselves out of poverty working here every year. I'm not talking about not having 20k phone poverty. I'm talking about not having food, shelter and medical care fixed kind of poverty. Not to mention, Gujarat is actually affordable for people like these who are the majority workers of manufacturing plants.
There are many factors other than favouritism and shit.

Because everything is sorted in Gujarat.
Roads are top notch by Indian Standards Electricity hasn't been a problem in the entire state since early 2010s Water is regular.
And this gets better for Industrial Areas.
Some people wanna say corruption and shit, but they don't know the ground reality.
If you talk about the Bullet Train project, most of it's done in Gujarat, but the work is lagging behind by a lot in Maharashtra. Shiv Sena wanted to slow it down because of political rivalry.
This is the problem in India. People would screw over the citizens for political rivalry.
Since Gujarat cooperates great with Central Government, the amount of corruption is minimised and the work quality is maximized.
From investing POV Gujarat is one of the best places in India.

One word - infrastructure.

And how’s it any better than TN, KA, MH?

Because it is BJP's home ground. They know they can't lose there.
Karnataka is a see saw, they don't win in Kerala. Maharashtra is an example of failed infrastructure.
Most of the projects you shared mostly take atleast two terms to finish. They don't want their project to finish in someone's else tenure. People won't remember who started it, they will only remember in whose tenure it was completed. Why would they do that? It's simple politics.
Solution is to keep a stable and "double engine" government in other states too.

True. I think this has been a long problem in India. No government wants to engage in long term projects as they know it might not guarantee them another term. So why even bother.
Couple that with hostile opposition culture that's prevelant in democracies and I think it's a dumb feature of democracy, not a bug

tell everyone you're not involved in setting up and running businesses, without saying explicitly.
Form the govts part you're forgetting, things like chenab bridge, char dham highway, atal tunnel, new airports from Noida to itanagar arunachal, dedicated freight corridor, ladakh kashmir tunnels, delhi mumbai expressway, metro system in cities like agara patna indore etc, oil refinery in Barmer rj, hydro power project in JK, etc etc one can't say there not focussing on other states.
In respect to private businesses, for all it's worth, there's less bullying in GJ, we have wrapped up a weaving unit in mandideep nearby bhopal which afaik is also in bjp state but they're spicy.
Would you rather risk being assaulted by KA enforcement mob, if adventure is all you desire feel free to setup your business outside of friendly states.
