Worldcoin = Web 3?

Apart from it being another crypto ("virtual") currency, I don't see worldcoin being any different. And as far as authentication goes, it looks like it's a mix of metamask and iris authentication (?), which is a little different from biometrics.

Am I missing something here?

Agreed, kind of similar to ashneer grover. Built a great product like bharatpe, but now building some fantasy gaming platform instead of solving real problems that they have the power and resources

To be fair, he's working on multiple projects and not just crickpe. As for solving problems, you could argue that about many startups and even the point of going to space. Humanity will always have problems, people choose to work on the ones they prefer. Even space travel problem-solving helps people back on Earth because of the technological advances that happen in the process.

As long as his business generates a profit and is providing livelihood to employees, it's enough. He's not a messiah, neither is any other business/startup owner.
