XpressBees Frauds have eroded my trust in the company

So a friend got a call from a random number a few weeks ago, telling him that there's an Xpressbees order for him. They made him call a number, yada yada, they hacked into his WhatsApp and it was a whole mess.

Anyway, this morning, I got a call from a random number, telling me that he's calling from Xpressbees has a parcel I ordered. I haven't ordered anything so I was very confused and I cut the call. He texted on WhatsApp also asking me to share my location and I figured it's a part of the elaborate hacking scam. Because why would a delivery rider whose job it is to deliver goods to a location not be provided with said location?

A while back Xpressbees texts me that my order is cancelled because I refused to accept.

A friend had ordered a surprise gift for me, I didn't know and now it's getting sent back and there's no way for me to stop it because Xpressbees is quite shitty like that.

I can't believe a unicorn would not have simple systems in place to ensure customer trust, especially when so many scams are happening in their name.

I ordered all my diwali gifts via Blinkit this time and not only was the condition and packaging good, the recipient got a text with my number that I am sending them something. And when the rider called to deliver, the Truecaller notification mentions Blinkit delivery.

All these Xpressbees guys need to do is established an sms/WA protocol on receiving orders, share actual locations with their delivery partners and enable Truecaller for these guys. I find it hard to believe it's a problem that's difficult to solve. Heck, WA utility messages are even cheaper now, ffs!

And I'm sure delivery agents are reporting this issue of order not being received with them and I'm sure there is an increase in RTO orders because of this, but who cares about building good user experience when you're a uNiCoRn 🦄
