Yocket review

Has anybody opted for Yocket's services? Since my job and commute make it impossible for me to complete the entire Masters application procedure, I require assistance from an expert. I'm seeking for trustworthy consultants that would go above and beyond to assist me. I'm concerned that I'll pay money and not receive the services they've promised. I simply wanted to know if Yocket is reliable. If not, could you recommend a trustworthy consultant in Bangalore?

Honestly, I won’t advice to go with them. You see, the MS application should be well crafted, and should be tailored to tell admission committee your story. It involves a lot of research about what the universities expect from a candidate, and a detailed qualitative overview of past admitted students profile. Incase of yocket, your documents like SoP would be drafted by someone who’s arts graduate with good english(happened in my case), and will have no clue about what the universities expect in an application. This happened in my case, my editor just drafted a very generic application, and I had to do it myself. Also, the counsellors will low ball on university shortlisting, and suggest you very mediocre universities if you have a GPA<8.5ish. Won’t even bother to do some research on the courses and specialisations offered within the program. I was in a similar situation as you, I work as well. If I had trusted yocket, I would have already gone to a very average, mediocre university. I would suggest you to only go for counselling for VISA related concerns, after you get the admit.

Here’s what you can do: Start your application work early. Everyday, try to take out atleast 15-20 minutes to research about the universities and prepare a list. Once you’re done with this, start writing your SOP, and work on getting LORs as well. For SoP, I would suggest you to ckntact seniors of the same target program via LinkedIn, show them your drafts, and seek their opinion. This would be very helpful. You can also refer to the book titled ‘Admitted’ by Soundarya Balasubramani, it will be very helpful.

You will be applying to 8-10 universities at max, and trust me, while MS application feels daunting, it would barely take you 30 minutes to fill in the portal per university once you have all other application materials ready.
Trust me, you don’t need any counsellor, atleast for getting admits.
