A few years back, I was at a new restaurant. They gave a tiramisu free for giving 5 stars in the app.
I knew that day these stars are as worth as a turmeric facepack to a buffalo.
In Amazon i gave a 5 star rating for a purchase and got rs 50. We Indians will do everything except improving our product/service.

Generally though, restaurants with good ratings are actually good. The top biryani place or the top dessert place would never do small stuff like this - they don’t need to.
I think ratings are truly helpful. Of course, some restaurants are sus, so always filter out those below a certain #ratings
