Eventbrite

11% workforce affected worldwide, 100 employees totally affected. Around 15-20 folks laid off in India. They have employed around 130-140 employees here in India. And they started India development centre less than 2 years ago. Entire design team in India laid off! I'm affected too, trying to stay strong and process everything that happened today.

This began in June 2023 when I received an opportunity to interview with Eventbrite. I received the online assessment link and submitted it. However, after that, I was ghosted by HR. In February 2024, I applied again, and HR called me to discuss the opportunity. HR asked me to call him the next day if I was interested further in the process. When I called him the next day, he didn't pick up, and after 2 minutes, I received a rejection email. HR could have picked up and just told me the reason for rejection.

I recently concluded interviewing with Eventbrite. The recruiter is asking me for my expected salary range and I have been unsuccessful in pushing back. I don't want to end up being underpaid compared to my peers. What's the senior SWE compensation range for Eventbrite India? Can't find any significant data points on Glassdoor or Blind.
