Not sure if I should say this, but now have great stamina , and my wife is super satisfied. By the way we work out together .

Story time
So at the time I was doing an internship. Started going to the gym because a friend used to go and running/walking on treadmill to loose weight was my understanding of fitness. One fine day I saw a really hot chick and I was like “Koi mujhe dekh ke nahi sochta hoga na ki ye banda kitna mast dikhta hai” didn’t like the answer to that question. Rest as they say is history.
Though now it’s so mucchh more, it’s a lifestyle, it’s the one thing that is such a controllable it keeps me sane.
Joe Rogan said it best “The reason I workout is that on the day that I workout I have respect for myself, I wasn’t a lazy piece of shit that day”
No I heard similar story. Man went on doing gym because his son wanted to play basketball with him. Don’t think in other way.

Warning: Long Post- sharing my weight loss journey
Pehele shaadi ke liye I lost some 12 kgs in a year by following fad diets like keto+intermittent fasting+gym, water diet, OMAD, and finally last 2 weeks before marriage- Starvation. Post marriage 4 mahine me got back 8 kgs that I had lost. Koi fad diets mat follow Karo yaar. It messes up your metabolism. I learned this the hard way. Anyways now I'm eating a balanced diet 3 times a day. Initially I had to force myself to eat even 2 times. But slowly increase Kiya to 3 proper meals and fruits as snacks 2 times.
Saath me I've started working out without targeting any weight loss number or deadline and meditating daily to keep stress away. Abhi bhi initial stages me hun. But I've never felt healthier even though moti toh abhi bhi hun. But I feel I'm on the right path after so many years.
Oh so many reasons!
Where do I even start?
1. Did not liked what I saw everyday in the mirror.
2. Ridiculed for being short all my life, stress and sedentary lifestyle made me fat as well.
3. Zero romantic prospects because I was apparently the ‘cute/nice bhaiya dost’ all the damn time.
4. Poor self-esteem and confidence giving crippling impostor syndrome letting me fear my duties as a manager.
5. Diagnosed with Stage-1 Parkinson’s during the same time my father is battling with it as well. Meaning, my body is going to stop listening to my mind at some point in life.
6. Got involved in a ‘road-rage’ situation in Bangalore with a gang of local goondas who hit us and robbed us in broad daylight. We were a group of 6 guys. If we couldn’t handle that situation in any better way, god forbid, what would’ve happened if we had our mothers/sisters/partners in the same situation with us.
Decided one day that enough is enough. Started hitting the gym first thing in the morning every single day. This was on Jan 1st this year, never missed two days in a row even on vacations. Falling in love with the process and my body slowly and steadily. Lost about 6 kgs, and 5% body fat.
One day or day one, you decide.
In case you’re a women, my period cramps disappeared after working out. Biggest motivator ever

Aug 2020: one night slept on my side, felt bones before mass, got intensely sad and got to work the next day. Started from that home workout app
Sep 2020: found out r/bodyWeightFitness and r/GainIt communities on reddit. They were instrumental in my bulk up journey!
Oct 2020: started following an internet calisthenics routine - couldn't even do 1 pushp. Day time was filled with reading abt nutrition and workout science

May 2021: regularly did home workout, understood bulk diet. Gained 15KGs ( was a 182cm 52kg skinny dude, became 67kg slim dude)
June 2021: got covid, lost 2 kgs, lost breathing capacity, eventually lost regularity and clg started
Dec 2022: WFO had started, lost 10-12kgs i think, never checked on scale after it again
I watched Tyson fury v deontay wilder -1 when in the last round fury got knocked down only to rise up and draw the fight. Then I saw Leon Edward’s v Kamaru Usman with Leon knocking Usman out for the title. Former made me start boxing, latter made me start kick boxing too.
Did you watch the fight between Max and Gaethje?
