Can anyone help me with how to start making money and manage finances smartly? I get 20k as salary every month and it's not enough but I do want to start saving. I do have mutual funds and RD. Any tips on investing to make more money? How to get started?

Assuming here that you are young and at the start of your career. Budgeting and habits are more important than actual saving. Any ₹₹ you save today will take sacrifices, but those same ₹₹ will be earned in a day as your salary increases. Focus more on budgeting and not giving in to impulses. Also, if you need to go into debt to upskill, do that. Do anything, whatever that will improve your future income. Degrees, education, courses, socialising etc. Take money from parents and relatives if possible and need to increase that 20k income asap somehow.

I cannot take from parents and I'm already providing for them. Living in bangalore, having savings plus taking care of family plus your own rent and food and everything. That's what I'm doing. I just wanna know whether I can turn my savings into something that can actually get me some money like interests.

Investment tips for guy who's earning 30k permonth, age :23

Hey guys , I am an IT dihadi majdur. Have zero idea about Investment. Let me share my income: I receive 30k in hand from which I have to save 20k for my brother's engineering. Rest of the money I transfer to my mother's account as we have a small loan ( 2 lakhs aprx ). Any tips how can I start investing, heard about SIP but don't know how to do it and where to invest. Can anyone please guide me step by step. Also I have 2.5 years of experience in Java. Any career related guidance will really help.

How do you manage your money? (SDE version)

Hey folks, I'm a recent graduate, got a job at a startup and the base will be <15, >10. Shifted to Bangalore (more like returning after 6 years, lived for 4 years before that). Since I'll be starting my full time journey soon, I want to know how you guys split your take home salary into needs, wants, luxury, savings, investing etc. Currently, I'm in a rented flat in HSR (my split is 7k) and will rent out/buy some home appliances. Food would be around 10k a month (no maid, all outside). I just want to know your experiences on spending and handling money. Not that I'm bad at it, but this is the start of my journey and I would like to know how other people manage their money, so I'd know if I have to tweak some things. Do tell any strict DOs/DONTs, common mistakes.
