Major Shakeup at Unacademy

So again Unacademy has asked people to leave, and asked them to resign. Leadership is so clueless about what they are doing, they fired 3-4 people whom they had hired a month ago. Imagine the situation 😂 And I don't see this stopping at Unacademy anytime soon They are aching left, right and centre. Still some people are making advt videos with Sachin. And the nalla has time to tweet and enjoy vacation, I pity the investors who funded them.

As of today, 31 folks at role of Senior Manager and above are on notice. Combined number across Business, Sales and content Marketing. Leaders across Offline, and new online Categories have also resigned. No one knows what's next at UA.

Unacademy's COO has stepped down from his position today and will serve a notice period for the next 3 months. Adding to this, Top Educators and directors have resigned too. These are from test prep categories. This seems like a massive call fallout of the company.

Can someone share what's going on inside unacademy. What new products are they launching. How good is the traction and runway

More than 600+ people have been laid off silently at Unacademy. This round is going to continue till 30th June. The mental harassment and pressure is off the charts. And the irony is that they are still hiring people from the outside while laying off current employees.

One of the director in Business team was fired by COO Vivek Sinha just because she took planned leaves and approved planned leaves of her team members. COO fired her over phone call . Unacademy used to such a great place up until February 2022 now it has become place filled with toxicity and CEO Gaurav seems to unaware of what's happening around him and is busy boasting how much money Unacademy has in bank. Don't join Unacademy if you want to life outside work .

Rumours are floating that Unacademy is getting sold by one of its main investors to another Edtech company in their portfolio for just 400 Million dollars, their last round valuation was 3.5 Billion dollars But founder Gaurav Munjal said they have 200 Million in the bank. Getting confused - Is this a repeat of Byju 2.0? They have fired the CTO and co-founder Hemesh Singh and Roman Saini ( other co-founder) is also not seen anywhere I am worried if more people are to be laid off?

I have another offer from Lighthouse Learning, but nobody knows this company, they run EuroKids schools(Old school firm), will my career die upon joining Lighthouse?

New silent layoffs at the end of November. Some teams are merging. So team members will be moved to new teams and then laid off 😞 Unacademy will now reach an irrelevant status like vedantu etc
