Been hearing a lot of chatter about how GrowthX isn’t as great as its advertised. Any truth to that? Is it really worth to pay that kind of money for a 8 week course and just for community?

Hi guys, I am currently working as a data engineer in Deloitte and have worked as a backend developer at a startup before. I really enjoyed backend development and want to get back into it. I am fairly good at Ruby on Rails. I’m looking to learn a new framework that is more in demand in the market right now. Which framework would you all suggest?

I last did a full fledged PM Role 5 years ago at an early stage startup (B2B SaaS). Post that moved on to building my own startup, spent the early years exclusively hands on the product (0-1) but last 28 months or so since my cofounder joined, I let him manage the product strategy and lifecycle since I had to take the lead on Sales and other aspects My current work with regards to product is more or less product vision and feedback. I feel I need to up my game in building my product skills to a higher level now as the product is getting mature and we are aiming to go global soon. I unfortunately don’t have anyone to mentor at the moment. How should I go about doing this ? Do you think going back to something like a product school for a 15 week Program could help ? The outcome I hope is set myself on the path to become a good Product Strategy leader with reasonable acumen on processes and systems and at the same time translate the learning to help scale the product better. Would be happy to take some ideas or places to look at for one. TIA

Here are all the tools i've used: 1. Mixpanel 2. Moengage 3. Metabase (at a company with multi-million userbase) 4. Amplitude Mixpanel wins for me in terms of usability, Amplitude wins if time spent is the goal for your app. rest of them are pure shit (will result in big analytics team).

I am a budding s/w developer. Out of my curiosity and zeal to learn and to sharpen my skill i built a product delivery framework for the organisation I worked on contract for the past 2 years. Which somehow went on to have a bigger impact on the organisation's product delivery timelines. I thought I had accomplished something today with my ability but then came a shock to me. My reporting manager who i used get approval for having few permissions from the upper management for implementing such a framework has procured the documentation of the framework and pitched the framework among the pm as it was his own idea and effort even he changed the documentation author to his name( that org hardly writes docs for their products) and pitched the framework accross the org and got all the appreciation without putting any effort into it. This is a great learning for me and a good experience for the people who are reading it. My advice to young s/w engineers whichever org you work your idea and thinking will be fresh and innovative It's better to save your idea and effort for the later stages of your career in the org once you get some sort of ownership on what you work so that you can't depend on your levels who just approach you in the intention to steal your efforts always. Last 3 years of startups have been all about SaaS. I just don't get it. So far, it was about solving real problems at scale. First with consumer websites (google etc), then software, then shopping & delivery (amazon swiggy zomato fk etc etc) And now, it's all SaaS: - Imma build a startup to help white businessmen in America do better billing - Imma build a 360 degree feedback tool specifically for Norwegian miners - Imma build a SaaS software to help HR people note down who isn't dressed properly - Imma build a software to help hillbillies in the US better manage their trucking company Like how are smart people in India taking up entrepreneurship to build these ideas that are dull and feel like the end of life? How does anybody become excited by this? is it just money? what am I missing?
