How to polish PM Skills ? Founder (B2B SaaS)

I am an Software engineer turned PM(1 year). Transitioned internally in the org. I am looking for ways to 1) Figure out how PMs in big org release features, 2) How to they market it, 3) How do they measure adoption and grow when needed. 4) How do they analyse the impact and results 5) How are roadmaps built

Hello All!! Needed some advice with upskilling to further my career in Product Management and add more dimensions to it. For some context, I have 4.5+ YoE in the software industry, primarily functional roles including about 3 years in Product Management. I want to up-skill myself in some hard skills as I think I have decent exposure in soft skills/functional aspects of PM but lack in the former. Have been thinking of the following: 1. APIs (Conceptual and hands on) 2. Data Analysis (SQL to be precise) 3. Low/No Code Tools I have about 6 months before I start looking for a new role and want to add these to my profile so as to land a good job. Please share your inputs and feedback if these would be useful in a real-life scenario and any other suggestions, if applicable. Counting on the advice and thanks in advance :)

I am PM with around 5 yrs of experience. I’m struggling to take my skill to next level. always receive feedback from management that output isn’t good, mostly that UX isn’t good. what can I do to improve my work? 1. Read books ? 2. Study successful products from outside ? 3. Listen to podcasts 4. Work with great product people? but hardly these exist 5. leave this field altogether? 6. Just have patience and keep learning everyday? Can experienced people share what has worked out well for them? or point me to some directions?

Beyond work and from mentors at org, how are you improving on your PM domain outside work? As an experienced junior PM in startups for 4+ years, I see that leaving everything to just the growth of org, on job coaching etc are not reliable. Not when as a startup there are too many other pressing things to be given time to for you and even your super great PM leaders.

I'm currently at a crossroads in my career and would appreciate any insights from those who have been in a similar situation. For the past 12 years multiple domains like Business, Digital marketing, Ui Ux & digital transformation, lastly 1.5yrs back I had the opportunity to become a founder of a startup where I handled both product and marketing. Unfortunately, that venture didn't find PMF, but I gained valuable experience in the process. Now, I'm considering whether to pursue a career as a product manager or product marketer. Also i didn't borrow any salary from the startup will it have any negative effects & how to mitigate them? Lastly based on the above background what would be the ideal package to go for?

Hi, I'm currently working as a Product Analyst at a promising startup, where I've been working on enhancing product delivery processes, keeping a check on deadlines (part of PMO), and driving client adoption for the past 1.5 years. Here my primary responsibilities involve conducting data analysis of projects and tickets, identifying trends and patterns, and providing insights to inform product decisions. However, I'm not directly involved in the core decision-making processes that shape product strategy. This is my first job and I feel there will be nothing specific that I will own in project management and/or process excellence, there is nothing much to grow in this field, and pretty much anybody can replace this task, *please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm particularly fascinated by the prospect of building solutions that will directly impact our clients hence the real world, developing innovative product strategies, and bringing impact to the business.
